Logging In/User Selection

||
When you start FCS Express,a "Log In" dialog appears to select a user profile(Figure 8.62). To log in with an existing user,highlight the name and click the Select button. To create a new user,click on New User... and enter a new user name.
Figure 8.62 User Selection (Log In) Dialog
When a user is selected,the preferences previously saved for that user are activated. Therefore,multiple users sharing the same computer can customize their preferences without affecting other users.
To delete a user,right-click on the user name and select Delete User from the pop-up menu. Note: Once a user is deleted,the preferences for that user cannot be recovered.
If you have only one user(and,therefore,one set of preferences),you can set your configuration to bypass the log in dialog. To do so,create and name a New User file as above,or select a preexisting user at log in. Then,select Application Button→Edit Preferences(button),choose the Startup category on the left,and uncheck the Allow multiple users checkbox. The User Selection dialog will no longer appear when opening FCS Express. Other preexisting user profiles will still exist,but will not be available at log in. To access other user profiles or to add new users,select Application Button→Edit Preferences,choose the Startup category on the left,and then recheck the Allow multiple users checkbox.
An individual user’s preferences can be restored to the default settings(those chosen when FCS Express is shipped),by selecting Application Button→System→Restore Preferences to Default Values.
