It is possible to access the Layout Options and Layout Performance Options by selecting the File tab→Info→Layout Options.

If you have security enabled, the Layout Group Security Access category will also be available.

 

The Layout Options category (Figure 4.18) displays information about the layout and allows you to assign a password to open the layout.

In addition, it also allows to customize the layout startup via the Startup Script tool.

 

 

 

 

Note: Use caution when deciding to password-protect a layout. If you forget the password, you will not be able to open the layout.

 

If you have security enabled, additional properties will be available on the Layout Options dialog.

 

 

 

The Layout Performance Options category (Figure 4.19) allows you to choose if live updating of gates, quadrants, markers, statistics and tokens is controlled at a global User Options level or at the Layout Level.

 

Choosing the Specify the value below radio button will allow you to turn the option to Update Immediately on or off for the current open layout via the check box.
