The Background category (Figure 25.4) contains options which control how Multicycle calculates the background (in order to remove debris from the sample and calculate an accurate fit).

 

 

 

The Use Background Fit checkbox controls whether or not Multicycle will attempt to calculate a background and remove it from the fit data.
