We recommend that you perform regular backups of your database, as well as regular tests where you restore from backups.

 

SQL Server

 

There are several ways to back up and restore SQL Server databases, and we do not recommend any particular ones. Please consult your SQL Server administrator for the best choice for your environment.

 

Elevate DB Local Server

 

Elevate DB Local Server stores data in a set of files located in a subfolder of the program folder. The subfolder is called ElevateDBData. In order to back it up, please perform the following steps:

 

1. Make sure everyone is logged out of FCS Express, and that the program is shut down on every computer.

 

2. Copy the folder ElevateDBData to your backup storage location.

 

To restore, simply copy the backed up folder back to the original location.
