FCS Express has the ability to have all gate, quadrant, and marker related changes such as backgating, statistics, and gated events update in real time as the gate is moved.

 

The option to update immediately, "in real time", is controlled via the FCS Express User Options located in the File tab→Options→General category→Performance Options→When moving gates, quadrants and markers, update plots, statistics and tokens immediately. (Figure 9.2).

 

The option to enable live updating gating may also be defined at the layout based level via the Layout Performance Options.
