Some dialog windows appear automatically in FCS Express.  With Do Not Show Again options, you can uncheck those which you wish to not automatically appear as prompts.  The dialog windows are listed and explained below (Figure 20.44).  The options may be selected or deselected individually or simultaneously using Select All or Deselect All.

 

 

•Warning dialog when saving a layout last saved in FCS Express Version 4 or 5.

oSaving a legacy layout in a current version of FCS Express will prevent it from opening in the earlier version.  Leave this option checked to be warned when saving such a layout.

 

•Warning dialog when opening a layout created with a different version of FCS Express.

oLeave this option checked to be warned opening a layout created in a different version of FCS Express.  

 

•Select plot types to open when dragging and dropping files.

oLeave this option checked to have the Select Plot Types... dialog appear when dragging and dropping files onto the layout.

 

•Warning dialog when replacing a marker gate.

oLeave this option checked to be warned when the gate being replaced is linked to a marker.

 

•Action when dropping a file on a data identifier in the Data List.

oLeave this option checked to have Choose Action for Drag and Drop dialog to appear when dragging and dropping a file from Windows explorer on top of a file in the data list.

 

•Action when double clicking a data identifier in the Data List.

oLeave this option checked to have the Select double click action dialog appear when double clicking on a file in the data list.

 

•Show startup screen automatically when FCS Express starts up.

oLeave this option checked to show the Startup Screen when FCS Express starts up.

 

•Warning message when turning off iteration snapshots.

oLeave this option checked to be warned that previously recorded snapshots will be overwritten when navigating between iterations and be asked if you would like to proceed.

 

•Question about embedding/linking when inserting a picture.

oLeave this option checked to show question if you would like to embed the picture. *Note: Answering no will link the picture instead.

 

•Warning about 'Span Multiple displays' Preference (macOS only).

o Leave this option checked to show a message about the system preference to enable or disable using more than one display.

 

•Show message after exporting layout history.

oLeave this option checked to show that the Layout History is being saved and instructions on how to view the progress of the export.

 

•Warning about clearing iteration snapshots when Running a batch process.

oLeave this option checked to be warned that iteration snapshots are saved and running the batch process will clear these saved snapshots and be asked if you would like to continue.

 

•Warning about clearing iteration snapshots when sorting the Data List.

oLeave this option checked to be warned that iteration snapshots are saved and sorting the data list will clear these saved snapshots and be asked if you would like to continue.

 

•Disable automatic pipeline execution after inserting a new step.

oLeave this option checked to be warned that inserting a new step will cause this pipeline to automatically execute and question if you would like to disable automatic execution.

 

•Tip to create a gate plot by dragging and dropping a gate.

oLeave this option checked to show a Tip on how to create a new plot by dragging the gated population out of the plot onto the blank page.
