The Formulas tab (Figure 3.38) contains the Function Library group with the following drop down lists: AutoSum, Financial, Logical, Text, Date and Time, Lookup and Reference, Math and Trig, Statistical, Information, and Compatibility.

 

An Insert Function button is also available (See first button from the left in the screenshot below)

 

 

 

Formulas can be inserted into the spreadsheet in multiple ways:

•by directly selecting the function of interest from function library drop-down lists (screenshot above)

•by typing the formula directly in the cell of interest into the spreadsheet

•via the Insert Function button, which also allows to search among all the available functions (Figure 3.39);
