The Transformations navigator is access via the Tools tab→Transformations→Transformations button. The transformations navigator (Figure 9.71) will launch and new data transformations may be added by clicking on the down arrow next to the blue plus button. The following transformations are currently available in FCS Express:

 

•Parameter Math

•Principal Component Analysis (PCA)

•K-Means cluster analysis

•R Integration for adding new parameters and cluster transformations

•tSNE transformation

•SPADE

•Pipeline

 

Note: Please also note our sections on Merging / Concatenating files, which is often used for tSNE and SPADE data sets.  

 

 

 

A progress bar will be visible for some transformations and will annotate the Iteration being processed.  The progress bar allows the user to abort the transformation by clicking on the ESC key (Figure 9.72).  

 

 

 

TIP: While transformations are running, a user can work in another layout (either a new layout or an existing layout), if either the latter, or the Startup screen, was already open at the time the transformation was started.
