Formatting Options Shared by All Plots

In addition to the formatting options common to all objects, all plots in FCS Express share certain formatting features:

Title

Axes

Legend

Plot 3D Options (available only for Histograms and Surface plots)

Each specific plot type has additional specific options which may be adjusted. Please refer to the plot type of interest for those options:

1D Plots: Common Options for All 1D Plots (including standard Histograms), Mulitcycle, Proliferation and Subtraction.

2D Plots: Common Options for all 2D Plots, Dot Plots and Color Dot Plots, Density and Contour Plots, Surface and Kinetics.

Other plots: Plate Heat Maps, Gate Heat Maps, Picture Plots and Spectrum Plots.

Formatting options allow the user to completely customize the look of individual plots. If you find yourself changing formatting options often, you may want to change the default plot options so plots appear with the preferred formatting automatically.

You may format a plot or object by:

Right-clicking on it (or double-clicking on a plot that is already selected), selecting Format from the pop-up menu, and choose a category to format from the dropdown.

oAll changes made while formatting a plot will be displayed in real time on the object.

Select the plot and choose the desired category from the Format tab of the Ribbon. Formatting from the ribbon will open a formatting dialog in a dockable window that will apply changes as they are made.
