Linking Gates to Quadrants

After creating a Quadrants Set, it is possible to create gates linked to one of the Quadrant Gates in that Quadrant Set.

The user can also determine where in the Gate Hierarchy the new gate should appear by selecting a Parent Gate from a drop-down menu (see table below).

 

In the format dialog of a 2D plot containing quadrants, navigate to the Selected Gate or Quadrants Properties category.

Under the Linked Quad Gates section, click Add button (shown in Figure 7.58).

The Create Gate window opens (shown below in Figure 7.59)

 

 

Option 

Explanation

Name

Allows the user to name the gate that will be created from the linked quad gate.

 

Comment

Allows the user to annotate additional information

Description

A custom description for the set of quadrants can be entered.

 

Color

The color of the quadrant lines, when displayed on a 2D plot, in the Gate Navigator and Gate View.

 

Line width

The width of the quadrant lines, when displayed on a 2D plot.

 

Emphasize events on Color Dot plots

If this box is checked, the events within the gate are increased in size.

 

Linked Quadrant Information

Quadrant Set

The name for the set of quadrants selected to be formatted.

 


Quadrant Gate

Displays the individual quadrant gates within the Quadrant Set to allow a user to select the quadrant that will be linked to the gate that will be created.

 

Gate Hierarchy

Parent Gate

Allows for the user to access the full gate hierarchy to determine where the new gate linked to a quadrant should be placed.

 

 

 

 

The Create Gate window options have been selected to create a new linked quad gate named "Gate 1" (shown in Figure 7.60).

Name: Gate 1

Quadrant Gate: Q2-1: FL1-H-FL3-H+

Parent Gate: Gate

The gate linked to quadrant Q2-1: FL1-H-FL3-H+ named Gate 1 appears in the gate hierarchy under Gate (shown in Figure 7.61).
