Mail Notifications

The Mail Notification dialog (Figure 18.19) can be accessed through the File tab→Security→Edit Security Configuration→Mail Notifications.

Mail Notifications allow notifications to be sent to a specific email address when certain events happen within FCS Express. A list of available notifications can be found in the table below.

To setup a mail notification:

1.Configure your SMTP Server.

2.Check boxes for each notification trigger you would like to be notified about.

3.Enter the email address to receive the notification in the Email to Notify box.

4.Click on Send Test Mail to confirm your selection.

5.Click OK.

When a notification is triggered you will receive an email at the specified email address.

Available Notifications:

Mail Notification	Notes
Session started	Notification when the software is started
Failed login - Invalid Username	Notification when an invalid User Name is entered
Failed login - Invalid Password	Notification when an invalid Password is entered
Login not allowed -Too many users logged in	Notification when a user tries to log in and there are too many other users already logged in
Login not allowed - User logged in too many times	Notification when a single user tries to log in multiple times with the same account
Login not allowed - Account is disabled	Notification if a user account is disabled because of too many invalid login attempts
Login not allowed - Too many failed login attempts	Notification if the number of failed login attempts allowed is exceeded
Login not allowed - Password expired	Notification if a password is expired
Successful Login	Notification of a successful login
Unexpected Logout	Notification of an unexpected logout. This occurs if the program shuts down unexpectedly and the sessions times out.
Remote Logout	Notification if a user is logged out remotely by another user
Logout	Notification of a regular logout
Session ended	Notification if FCSE session is ended
Session left open	Notification if FCSE session is left open
Event message notification sent	Confirmation notification of message sent (Internal use FCSE)
Event message notification failed to deliver	Notification when a message fails to deliver (Internal use FCSE)
User was logged out by idle timeout	Notification if user was automatically logged out by idle timeout
Login not allowed - Wrong computer	Notification when a user tries to log in on the wrong computer
User Added	Notification when a user is added to the User List
User Updated	Notification when a user profile is updated
User Removed	Notification when a user is removed from the User List
Security Configuration Change - General	Notification when information in the General section in the Edit Security Configuration is changed (Institution Name)
Security Configuration Change - Password	Notification when information in the Password Policies section in the Edit Security Configuration is changed
Security Configuration Change - SMTP	Notification when information in the SMTP Server section in the Edit Security Configuration is changed
Security Configuration Change - Mail	Notification when information in the Mail Notifications section in the Edit Security Configuration is changed
Security Configuration Change - LDAP	Notification when information in the LDAP section in the Edit Security Configuration is changed
Security Configuration Change - System Level Audit	Notification when information in the System Level Audits section in the Edit Security Configuration is changed
Layout Status Definition Changed	Notification when a Layout Status Definition is changed
Security Group Definition Changed	Notification when a Security Group Definition is changed
User Updated Self	Notification when a user has updated their own user profile
Layout Opened	Notification when a layout is opened
Layout Saved	Notification when a layout is saved
Layout Closed Without Saving	Notification when a layout is closed without being saved
Layout Printed	Notification when a layout is printed
Layout Exported to PDF	Notification when a layout is exported to PDF
Layout Exported to PPT	Notification when a layout is exported to PowerPoint
