To create a marker on a plot, either:
•Select the Gating tab → Create Gates → Marker command, or
•Right-click on the plot and select Create marker from the pop-up menu.
Then, position the cursor where you want the left marker boundary to be, and press and hold the mouse button down. While holding the mouse button down, move the cursor to the right until the desired right marker boundary, and release the mouse button. If the Marker Creation Prompt Window is enabled in the default 1D Plot User Options, a dialog window (Figure 7.62) will appear enabling you to name the marker, define the label in the marker text box, create a linked gate, and define the marker line width and color, if desired; if not enabled, these properties can be changed after marker creation via the Marker Formatting dialog.

Markers can be updated in real time if desired by choosing the FCS Express User Option to update Gates, Markers, and Quadrants immediately.
High and Low bounds of markers within one plot or in different plots may be linked so they move together when either marker is adjusted.
