To insert plots on a layout page in the default size, use either of the following three methods:
•From the Ribbon Bar: select the command associated with the plot type you desire from the 1D Plot, 2D Plot, or Other Plot groups on the Insert Tab. Then, click on the layout page at the point where you want the upper left corner of the plot to be (or drag a sizing rectangle on the layout). The file that FCS Express will associate with the plot is explained in the section on The Current Data File.
•From the Data List: drag a file from the Data List and drop it onto an empty spot on your layout. You will be prompted to select which plot type to insert in the Select Plot Types... dialog box.
•From a plot: drag a gate from an existing plot and drop it onto an empty spot on your layout. A new plot of the same type but with the dragged gate applied will appear.
To create a plot with customized size, use the first strategy above (i.e. From the Ribbon Bar) but draw the plot on the blank page (i.e. left click on the blank page to place the first corner of the plot, hold the mouse button, move the mouse to define the size of the plot and release the mouse button to define the opposite corner of the plot) instead of just clicking on it.
To change the default size for a plot, see 1D Plot Options or 2D Plot Options.
To change the file in a plot see Changing Data Files.
